Happy Valentine's Day!!
I had tulips (Stacie's favorite flower) delivered Friday afternoon from ProFlowers.com. I got home early Friday from work but forgot they were being delivered that afternoon. I ran down to the front door to find them under the rug at our front door but I had left myself little time to get them ready before she got home from work. Thankfully, her sister Steph - an expert florist - assisted me over the phone and helped me give them the TLC they needed. Thanks, Steph!
I'm a big fan of tulips myself, as my mom had volunteer tulips that were the first thing to grow in her garden every spring. They're simple yet beautiful flowers and they always remind me of spring.
Saturday, I stalked one of the great egrets that frequent the pond across our street
A lady walking her dog scared it off but I had my quick-capture setting ready to go.
As graceful and beautiful as these birds may look, they sure do look like dinosaurs when they fly.
Perched atop our neighbors roof, safe from passing dogs and snooping cameras.
Stace and I re-watched the Super Bowl Saturday afternoon - GO PACK. GO!!
Our Christmas tree at Thanksgiving
For the past month, it has been sitting on our patio. We (I) just couldn't part with it, but this weekend, it was time for it to go.
I keep telling myself that we will have a patio fire pit for this spring and summer, so I thought instead of throwing the tree away I would just cut it up and use it for firewood. Between the stifling mosquito's and humidity here, though, I doubt that fire pit will ever show up at our house.
I like this look!
But this just looks pathetic!

Christmas 2010...officially over at our house
Stace made us pot roast today - Happy Valentine's Day to our stomachs!
Stace and I walked to the neighborhood park and threw the football this afternoon while the roast was cooking. I didn't bring my camera but it was my favorite part of the weekend. That girl can catch, throw, and kick! She knows her football!
And of course, Mr. Egret was back out and so was I, stalking him again with my camera
My Sweet Valentine

And my secret Valentine...

It's a good thing we're related, because I like you. We were trying to teach Ava to say "Bieber Fever" this weekend :) It hasn't quite caught on yet, but we have high hopes!
