Twelve Days of Christmas Songs (Day 5)

I really enjoy this song.  

I like this version the best.  

Perry Como is a classic Christmas singer.  

And there really IS no place like home for the holidays.

Boom!

Now don't say I went overboard with every description for these songs. :)

Oh, yes I did!  

Two days in a row of Carol Of The Bells.

Like I said in my initial post, there were some "subconscious criteria" - essentially nostalgia and taste of music - that I used to choose these songs.  Big surprise, huh?  Despite these "criteria", no one factor was employed to keep songs on or off the countdown.   Nevertheless, I was always hesitant to choose two versions of the same song.  I guess I wasn't hesitant enough when it came to Carol Of the Bells, because here it is again...and two days in a row at that!

Now, I could spend time defending using this song twice on the countdown or why I like music by Celtic Woman.  But I said on Day 3 that I would no longer bore you by defending my choices.  I simply like this song and I do like some of the Christmas music by Celtic Woman.  I also like the color pink and enjoy shopping for candles and curtains.  It's all part and parcel with me.  Savvy?

While I enjoy this song, the performances I've seen of it are rather ridiculous.  While the ladies who make up Celtic Woman are talented musicians, they are simply obnoxious thespians.  Watching them prance around on stage, with their fake smiles and gaudy dresses, simply ruins the music I think.  If it helps, just press play on the video below, then minimize the window so you don't have to watch it.

Take my advice.  They're annoying to watch! :)
