The Splendor of Spring

WHEN: Spring 2011
WHERE: The Northern Hemisphere

I'm a procrastinator.

Perhaps you thought otherwise given the title of my blog, but I often tend to challenge time better than I utilize it.  And perhaps it fuels my procrastination to have a blog, which only adds to the daily/weekly/monthly to-do lists.  I guess I just don't learn.

Should I really be admitting these qualities about myself? Eh, I'll figure that out later, I've got other things to do.

This time procrastination was in the "spring update" for my Seasons page which I have put off now week after week.  I had largely abandoned my Seasons page since the first week in December.  That is, until two weeks ago.  Just to reiterate, my Seasons page was my personal outlet to illustrate the changing seasons (from our front yard and backyard) across the span of one year.  I began the effort strong last September but by the time December rolled around it had been pushed too far back on this procrastinator's to-do list.  I had continued to take pictures over the past 5 months but never got the pictures up on the blog.  So, with each passing day the effect was compounded and the effort became more insurmountable and less appealing.  But I wanted to finish what I started and at least make it the one year.  And like the effect spring has on many things, it was a new beginning and therefore the motivation I needed.

It has taken some time but I have finally managed to gather and ready the pictures and components to update my blog and bring it in to the spring season; just as the spring season is ending!  Quite honestly, it is hardly spring here in Charleston any more, unless you're only using a calendar to gauge the seasons.  The initial flower blooms ended weeks ago and a warm April has replaced the blooms with heat and humidity more characteristic of summer.  April brought with it the lush, dark green foliage, pesky insects and croaking frogs filling the night air, and the beginning of the beach season.  I figured this spring update had to be finished before May hit and summer gained a stronger grip.  If I wasn't such a procrastinator, this post would more likely have been my "summer update" instead.  And I suppose that post will only be a couple weeks away now.  Looks like I have more work to do!

For now, enjoy the splendor of spring (what's left of it)...

now that I have figured out how to comment you will be sorry! Jesse I totally agree with Steph, they are that good. Just saw some pictures here that were matted and for sale and your's are actually better. You need to find a market for them. Put Stace on that, she's good at getting things done. :)
