Crossing Paths: Penske Pals

WHEN: March 3, 2006 WHERE: Waterloo, IA It has been four years. Four years since Travis (for the first time) and Steph (for the second time) moved back to the Midwest. Four years since Riley and Tigger were reacquainted (an experience I would wish on no one). Four years since the Armstrong's and Brasses began keeping Penske Truck Rentals in business. Four years since our path first crossed with Steph & Travis' - - in big, yellow trucks. A lot has happened in four years! On March 3, 2006 Stace and I were not engaged, I had not yet (seriously) entertained the idea of grad school, we lived in Iowa, and the Armstrong's were living out of the back of a big, yellow truck. Since then (besides getting engaged/married and attending/finishing grad school), Stacie & I have lived out of the back of a big, yellow truck too - twice! And most likely, we will be living out of a big, yellow truck for a third time before the end of 2010. On July 12, 2007 we picked up our first big, yellow truck in Cedar Rapids, IA, bound for Greenville, NC on July 15.

Picking up our first big, yellow truck in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Big, yellow truck visits Ferguson's for the second time in 16 months.
Big, yellow truck visits Brasses (senior) for the first time.
Our turn to live out of the back of a big, yellow truck.
On July 16 Stace & I arrived in North Carolina in our big, yellow truck - the same state Steph & Travis had moved FROM just 16 months prior in their big, yellow truck. Our paths had finished crossing and come full circle (or 'half circle'). Bad timing!
We liked the big, yellow trucks so much we decided to do it all again in September 2009! On September 19 we drove our big, yellow truck to Virginia Beach.
See you again sooner or later, big, yellow truck!
It's been fun and exciting (and stressful, exhausting, expensive) to move around the country and make memories along the way. Plus, isn't every young boy's dream to drive a big, yellow truck?? I must say, though, that I'm even more excited for the day when we don't have a big, yellow truck rental looming on our calendar's horizon.
